transito-475

This is a tour of “The City of Tolerance” that will allow us to experience the typical routines of the Jews, Arabs and Christians, as well as their coexistence, all while walking through the different neighborhoods and exploring every corner of its streets.

This tour takes approximately three hours and the proposed itinerary is:

We begin with a panoramic tour of Toledo in the group bus where we can admire the marvelous views of the city from the other side of the Tajo River. This will serve as a point where we can have a little bit of an introduction to the culture and history of the city.

  • Synagogue of El Tránsito: A remarkable Jewish temple and a the key to better understanding Jewish life in Toledo.
  • Toledo Cathedral: Considered one of the greatest examples of Gothic architecture in the country, the Cathedral also houses some of the most important artistic treasures of the Spanish Middle Ages.
  • Mosque of Cristo de la Luz: The only mosque, of the many that existed in the city, that remains preserved largely as it was in the Moorish period.
